// plain language. updated april 2026.
When you sign in with Google, Apple, LinkedIn, or X, we receive your email address from that provider. We use it only to send you notifications about activity on the platform. Nothing else.
We assign you a large random soul number. That number is your identity here. We store the content you write — signals, stories, messages, and replies — associated with that number.
That is the full list.
We do not collect your real name. We do not collect your photo. We do not collect location data beyond anything you choose to mention in your writing.
We do not track your behavior outside this platform. No pixel tracking. No cross-site data. No behavioral profiles built from what you read.
Your email is only used for transactional notifications — activity related to your account, replies to your signals or stories, messages from other souls, platform announcements.
We do not send marketing email. We do not sell your email address. We do not share it with third parties. Ever.
Other souls see your soul number and the content you write. That is all.
Your email, your sign-in provider, and any information you didn’t write yourself — none of that is visible to other souls. You are a number and a voice. Nothing more is exposed.
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. That is the only cookie we set. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies that phone home to third parties.
These are the external services this platform runs on. Each has access only to what it needs to function:
None of these services receive your data for advertising purposes. None are authorized to use your data beyond the function listed above.
Your content stays here until you remove it. You can delete individual signals and stories from within the platform. You can dissolve your soul entirely from the preferences page — this removes your content from all feeds and your soul number from the platform.
Dissolution is permanent. You may return as a new soul at any time. You will receive a different number.
We keep backups for system reliability. Deleted content may persist in backups for a short period before being fully purged.
You can erase everything associated with your soul by dissolving it — content, number, email. Gone.
You can request a copy of the data we hold associated with your email address. Contact us and we will produce it.
If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK — these rights are guaranteed under GDPR. Anywhere else, we honor the same principles regardless.
